Cranberry-Lime Margaritas

1 cup sugar; 1 cup fresh lime juice; 1 1/2 cups tequila; 1/2 cup orange liqueur; 1 (64oz) bottle cranberry juice cocktail.

Stir together sugar and 1 cup water in small saucepan.  Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.  Remove from heat and allow to cool.  After cooling, add lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur and cranberry juice, stir and pour into large pitcher or punch bowl.  (Keep chilled until ready to serve).  Rub glass rims with lime juice and dip in salt.  Serve over crushed ice.
 

Mandarin Orange Cake

1 box of yellow cake mix, 1/4 cup oil, 3 eggs, 1 small can Mandarin oranges, juice and all; 1 (9oz) carton Cool Whip; 1 large pkg instant vanilla pudding, 1 large can crushed pineapple.

Mix cake mix, oil, eggs together then fold in Mandarin oranges.  Cook in 3 layers (round cake pans) if possible.

(follow oven temp from cake box)

After cakes cool...mix together Cool Whip, vanilla pudding and pineapple.  Spread onto cakes and serve.
